Who is Dr. Gopa

Dr Gopa

Born in India, I grew up with the knowledge of Bhagavad Gita. It is like growing up in Melbourne with the footy around you. But being with a scientific mindset, I never took the knowledge very seriously, thinking that I will not be able to connect with it and I was more interested in focusing on my career, education and travelling.

My career and travelling desires landed me in Melbourne Uni to do a master’s degree and Phd in wireless technology. It was during my studies in Melbourne Uni, Bhagavad Gita got re-introduced in my life. Now having gone through a bit of life myself, I had my sets of questions about what life is, what is my goal & purpose in life. With these questions on my mind, I read Bhagavad Gita As it is. I was quite amazed at the scientific & profound knowledge the book presented about me and my personal issues and the world I am living in – it’s political, economical & social issues. It was not a sectarian or religious book as I had initially thought, but the knowledge was very comprehensive & universal which applies to anyone, anywhere in the world. It provided me with solutions & tools to overcome my mental roadblocks.

After I finished my Phd, I decided to experiment with the knowledge to learn about myself, about my purpose and meaning. This was more than 10 years ago, today I can confidently say that Bhagavad Gita has helped me to grow in life, transform my vision, find my peace and purpose. I am currently practicing a monk lifestyle in the bhakti yoga tradition and have dedicated my life to serve & help others who are looking for something more in life. I like to share with others what I have learnt from Bhagavad Gita and what has helped me in order to bring a positive transformation in the world.
